Queen City Church of God In Christ

     Elder Gerald Lee Boatman was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 12, 1960 to the late Mr. Sylvester Boatman and Mrs. Yvonnie (Kern) Boatman. As a child growing up in the Midwest, Elder Boatman was reared in a loving Holiness Christian environment under the Late Elder and Sis Prier who prayed earnestly for the members. One day while Elder Boatman then at the age of 18, his life began to change; he realized he needed to make a total commitment to Christ. He then accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 23 and never looked back.

     Elder Boatman has served and received teaching under many great Men of God.  In 1995, He also accepted the call to the ministry.

     Elder Boatman received his Certificate of Ordination as a Licensed Elder in the Church of God In Christ, Incorporated in 1996 under the Prelate of Northern Georgia Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction - Bishop Mark Walden.

     Elder Boatman moved to San Antonio as he obeyed God to “Trust Me.” In December 2006 joined the Wayfaring C.O.G.I.C. in San Antonio, TX under Pastor John H. Hardy, and served two years as Assistant Pastor and the Sunday School Superintendent. In March 2011, under the direction of the Holy Ghost to “Go Forward” changed membership to Emmanuel Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C under the direction of Supt. Joseph Johnson. He served as President of Department of Education, Historical City District Website Coordinator, Young People Willing Workers, and Sunday School Teacher for Men; and currently serves as an Adjutant in the Texas Southwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

     Evangelist Missionary Boatman and He were joined in Holy Matrimony, October 27, 2012 by Superintendent Clem Stewart, Pastor of Greater Evangelist Temple COGIC.

     Elder and Evangelist Missionary Boatman completed their theology studies at the T.D. Iglehart Institute of Training in 2015, and served as Class President. He is a graduate from Savannah River College completing training as a Microsoft Network Engineer. He received his Associate of Applied Science Degree from Georgia Military College; Bachelorettes Degree in Management from Wayland Baptist University, and currently pursuing His MBA in Information Systems Management at Wayland Baptist University Graduate School; and a graduate of the Army Management Staff College.

     Elder Boatman know as faithful, available and dependable.  Bishop S. E Iglehart assigned Elder Gerald Lee Boatman as the Intern Pastor of the Queen City Church of God In Christ, March 4, 2017.
